YOGA FOR WELLBEING

Where: BLACKWOOD MEMORIAL HALL
When: MONDAY 10.30 – 11.45AM

A gentle active class tailed for older people who wish to maintain range of movement, strength, stability and balance in the body. 

Mindful, breath-led movement is encouraged to create a deeper sense of awareness.  Breathing techniques help harmonise energy levels and enhance physical and mental wellbeing. 

Care is taken to ensure that postures are practised safely and all postures are adapted to meet the needs of each student. 

Suitable for all levels, including beginners. Please contact me directly to discuss any pre-existing health conditions or injuries.

STRENGTH, FLEXIBILITY & REFLECTION

Where: NORWOOD YOGA HOUSE
When: MONDAY 6.45 – 8.15PM

This class carefully combines dynamic movement and static stays to promote stability and ease in the body.

Mindful, breath-led movement creates a deeper sense of awareness.

Participants are invited throughout the class to reflect on specific aspects of the practice to support the goal of the class, focus the mind and enhance their experience .

Postures will be adapted to suit individual needs.

Suitable for those with some prior experience of Yoga.

MEDITATION

Where: NORWOOD YOGA HOUSE
When: FRIDAY 11.30 – 12.30PM

A layered class designed to harness the senses, focus the mind & lead the practitioner on a journey towards stillness. 

These classes will use simple āsana, prāāyāma, mudra & mantra to prepare the body & mind for meditation. The focus will be on positive, uplifting and healing objects, concepts & sounds.

Suitable for all.

Personal Practice

Traditionally, Yoga was always taught on an individualised basis. This approach respects the abilities and needs of the individual and the teacher gets to truly know the student. This relationship enables the teacher to design a practice utilising the different tools and techniques of Yoga that not only meets the needs of the student, but ensures the student receives the greatest benefit from their practice. As the student changes and evolves over time, so too does their practice.
