YOGA FOR WELLBEING

Where: BLACKWOOD MEMORIAL HALL
When: MONDAY 10.30 – 11.45AM

A gentle class which is designed to maintain strength, flexibility and balance of the body. Care is taken to ensure that postures are practised safely and modifications are offered where appropriate. The class also incorporates breathing techniques which help rejuvenate and relax.

YOGA FOR BODY, BREATH AND MIND

Where: NORWOOD YOGA HOUSE
When: MONDAY 6.45 – 8.00PM

These classes honour the ancient practice of Yoga by using movement and breath to create stillness in the mind. Body and breath is synchronised to encourage mindful movement and harness the senses. The practice of prāṇāyāma then leads us to a space of stillness and reflection.

YOGA FOR ATHLETES

Where: NORWOOD YOGA HOUSE
When: SATURDAY 10.15 – 11.15AM

A yoga class for teens aged 13 years and older who play sport. Designed to enhance sport specific movement, increase body awareness, address imbalances that can occur through repetitive asymmetrical movements and increase mental focus. Participants will be introduced to a range of postures that will increase strength, flexibility, balance, co-ordination, agility and range of motion. Participants will also learn how to work with the breath to manage energy, endurance and stress.

Personal Practice

Traditionally, Yoga was always taught on an individualised basis. This approach respects the abilities and needs of the individual and the teacher gets to truly know the student. This relationship enables the teacher to adapt (modify or extend) the tools and techniques of Yoga to ensure the student receives the greatest benefit from their practice. As the student changes and evolves over time, so too does their practice. For more information about a personal practice, contact Polly.
